Most men have fears - some don’t like spiders, others don’t like heights, and still others fear going bald or getting a pot belly. These are not things that men naturally lay out on the table and discuss. One very common fear among men, though, that should be discussed, is the fear of approaching women.

Approach anxiety can be overcome, though, with a little know-how and a lot of practice. The first thing you need to do is start practicing - religiously. Approach women you are NOT attracted to which may make the stakes smaller for you. The more you practice, the more confident you will become and the more attractive that makes you to women.

So as soon as you see a woman you want to approach - do it before you can psyche yourself out. Another thing that really helps opening a conversation with women is using techniques like Cocky Comedy or Cocky Funny, as some people call it.

David Deangelo of Double Your Dating developed the Cocky Comedy program to help men create attraction and fan the flames with a woman. Cocky Comedy seems very natural, and after getting used to it, it can easily become part of your personality. With most “naturals” - it is already. The boiled down version of Cocky Funny is this - you use words to say that she is NOT all that - but your body language tells a different story.

One great way to accomplish this is by simply picking on her - making jokes about her shirt or her hair or something like that. Not rude - just playful. Then, with your body language, show her you are interested in her by touching her or hugging her, simple things that let her know that you ARE interested.

This keeps the woman slightly confused, and more attracted to you because of it. Think of it this way - if a woman knows she has you in the bag - where is the fun or challenge in that? Gone - out the window along with her attraction. But if you keep her wondering, then she will end up chasing you.

After you master Cocky Comedy, you will find that most women react very similarly to the same stimuli from a man. You will also notice that it is not your LOOKS she is attracte4d to. For women, attraction grows as they get to know the man and see that he is really a man - not a wussbag. You will develop confidence and surety - and women find that incredibly attractive.

So - practice approaching women and using Cocky Comedy to engage them. Soon, you will find that you are becoming more and more successful in meeting the kind of woman you want to date, losing your own fears and anxiety and showing her that you are a calm, cool and confident man.
