Let’s face it. Many of us are feeling the pain of the forever rising cost of high gas prices. It has made people realize that they have to make a difference as nobody is going to help them tackle this problem except for themselves. The problem? Not many people know how to minimize their gasoline usage.

Most people don’t know this yet but there are alternatives to gasoline. An example of an alternative is biodiesel. Biodiesel is one of an alternative that has gained popularity since the gas price hike.

So What is Biodiesel?

Biodiesel is all natural. What do I mean by that? Well, biodiesel is made from ingredients that are safe, renewable and clean. Biodiesel can be made on a large scale and also made at a small scale at the comfort of your own home.

How is Biodiesel Made?

Biodiesel is made using alcohol, lye and water. The ingredients are mixed together, allowed to settle and then the biodiesel is separated from the bi-product, glycerin, and can be used in any diesel running engine.

Better Than Gasoline?

There are many reasons why biodiesel is better than gasoline. Here are the main reasons why biodiesel is the answer to high gas prices:

-It can be made by you at home. It is not a complicated process and something that is very safe to do at home.

-It is safe. Biodiesel is non toxic and does not catch on fire or explode like gasoline.

-Environmentally friendly. It is much cleaner as it does not contain harmful bi-products. The bi- product of gasoline; glycerin are used in soaps.

-Cheaper. Wouldn’t you be saving a lot of money making your own biodiesel at home? I bet you would.

-The ingredients that are used to make biodiesel are renewable. Gasoline is made using oil and that is something that will eventually run out. The ingredients in biodiesel are renewable, so they will never run out.

So, there you have it. A great alternative to gasoline-biodiesel. The best way to counter the high gas price is here. I bet you will be able to find a lot of information on how you can use biodiesel. Good luck!
