A reverse phone number lookup is very useful in this day and age when every one has a cellphone, for example you may have written down someones number but can’t remember who it was that gave it to you. If the phone number is a landline number it is relatively easy to use a reverse lookup service to get information on the owner, including their name and address. It can be more difficult however to perform a reverse lookup on a mobile phone number. The main reason for this is that the free directories don’t have access to the cell numbers, as they are held independently by each individual carrier company.
There is a way to get this information on cellphone numbers, although not for free. There are a few sites that hold databases on both landline and cellphone numbers. The cellphone companies that own the records and information, sell it to third-party vendors who can access this information for you, for a fee.
These databases hold a large amount of information, and not just names and addresses, you can access criminal records, civil records and various other information necessary for background checks. For a one-off fee you can often search as many numbers as you wish, and many services will also provide information on unlisted numbers.
You should be able to access information from a good quality service, that would be equal to anything a private investigator would get you. You can use this information for a variety of different reasons, background checks on new employees, your daughter’s new boyfriend, a new babysitter, and anything else you can think of.
You need to be wary of any sites that offer you a free reverse phone number look up, as in my experience they are used as a cover for paid companies. I haven’t found a free service that will let you access both cellphone and residential phone information. Most of these sites will let you run a phone number search free of charge, but then ask you to pay to either see or download your results.
You will then be funnelled off to their sister site where you will be paying for the service. What you need to remember here is that the paid reverse phone lookup services charge a fee for a reason, that is to legally access extensive databases. Most of these services will offer a money back guarantee so you can be sure they are not trying to scam you.
There are many different reasons for wanting to run a reverse phone number lookup, from checking up on her cheating husband, to carrying out a background check on a new babysitter. Whatever you need it for they are a very useful tool that will become even more important in the future.
